The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service issue made for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to allow the servicing of all customers and boost access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
